After struggling with infertility for almost five years I was finally expecting. The journey through infertility along with the exhaustion of first trimester had left me feeling emotionally and physically drained. I was struggling to allow myself to feel the joy of pregnancy out of fear of loss. A friend had suggested I try Prenatal Yoga to help relieve the stress. It was during this time that I discovered Rooted Birth’s Prenatal Yoga class.

I started when I was three months pregnant, and from the first class, it felt like exactly where I needed to be. The gentle movements, and peaceful environment helped me through those first few months of pregnancy. I was so impressed that I signed up for a second in depth series.

My third trimester brought new stress when I was diagnosed with Pre eclampsia. But every week I had a beautiful opportunity to relax, and reconnect with my body. I found comfort in class, and Megan’s in depth knowledge of pregnancy and the birth experience helped me through a scary time.

The most meaningful gift I received from the experience came at the end of each class - we would place our hands on our hearts, and our growing bellies. These moments are my first memories of bonding with my son. Rooted Birth’s Prenatal Yoga wasn’t just a class—it helped me through one of the most difficult seasons of my life. Looking back, I am beyond grateful for such a beautiful experience.
